Your first visit to Hwy 5 Animal Hospital will be a welcoming and thorough experience designed to set the foundation for your pet’s health and well-being. Upon arrival, you can expect a warm, welcoming environment for both you and your pet. Our experienced reception staff will guide you through the registration process and answer any initial questions you may have. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor. Our veterinarians will then conduct a comprehensive examination of your pet, taking the time to understand their medical history, lifestyle, and any concerns you might have. The doctors may recommend diagnostic tests if needed. Once the tests have been run, which can usually be done in the practice, your doctor will discuss a diagnosis and possible treatment plan if warranted.
This is a great time to ask questions. We encourage open communication and will provide detailed information about your pet’s health status, preventive care options, and any recommended treatment plan. Once your exam and possible treatments have been completed, our veterinary technician will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer wellness and care questions for you. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow up appointment.Our goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable and supported, ensuring you leave with a clear understanding of how we can work together to keep your furry friend happy and healthy.
